Advent Retreat, November 16-19, 2017

Friends of Ruah, we are now preparing for our Advent Retreat November 16-19, 2017. The retreat will begin with lunch eaten in silence on Thursday November 16, and end after breakfast and a group gathering Sunday November 19.

We will explore the meaning and mystery of the Incarnation through the Advent scriptures as we prepare our spirits for the coming of Christ anew this Christmas.

This will be a flexible retreat; that is, you may participate only in what you truly feel called to do—everything (except the first group gathering after lunch on Thursday) is optional.  We will schedule one group gathering each day to hear the scriptures.  Handouts will be offered to everyone whether you attend the group sessions or not.  Spiritual directors will be available to anyone wanting individual direction.  We may have a group centering prayer session or two.  We trust you to take in what you need and let go of what you don’t.
Space is limited to 33 people so please register soon by calling the number below.

As always, we ask for a love offering/donation to help with the cost of your room, meals and resources. We expect everyone to give something, but decide in your own heart what you can give cheerfully!  (2 Corinthians 9:7)
